We are planning a new community in Kitchener and we need your help!

The purpose of the Dundee Secondary Plan is to set out a detailed vision and planning framework. This will guide how a new neighbourhood in southwest Kitchener will grow over time. Right now, most of the land in this area is used for farming or is protected for the environment.

The secondary plan will lay out a road map for the future — including where new homes, parks, natural spaces, shops, and schools could go. It will also show how everything will be connected by roads, trails, public transit, and sustainable infrastructure.

This is a big opportunity to bring together existing and new neighbourhoods together and build a strong, connected, and complete Dundee community.

We’re also doing this planning in a way that considers both the environment and land use at the same time. This approach meets the rules set out by the Province of Ontario for both environmental and planning processes. For more information, read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
